What worries the parents? Is your kid preparing for the civil services?

Updated: Apr 21, 2022

Seeing your child succeed is the only dream of most parents. They strive for that day to come. Many can barely make both ends meet but save wisely for their kid's future.

Why Preparing For IAS is Difficult?

The IAS examination conducted by UPSC is one of the toughest in the whole world. Mammoth syllabus, time constraints are a few major difficulties faced by almost every aspirant. The parents also face the same mental agony as the kid does. It's not different for them. Result days are hard to face. Everyone knows the standard of these exams and just studying is not enough for anyone to crack this hard nut.

Tensions soar high when the kid’s performance is not up to the mark. Poor performance creates a lot of stress for both the aspirant and the parents.

What to do?

The first and foremost thing to do is to be patient. Being patient is important for you as a parent. If your ward is putting effort into his/her preparation then results would come up soon after. Keep encouraging the child to study more and be aware of what's going around. See if they require help and try to check if they require some other modes of study. Every kid has a different learning pattern so choose wisely.
